Lalji Raika

President-Rashtriya Pashupalak Sangh 
Lalji Raika has been the regional head of the country’s largest bank, Axis Bank, East India Region. Axis Bank’s East India Region comprised 14 states Seeing the pain of the cattle rearing community, he resigned from his job worth lakhs and adopted service in public life. Lalji is a resident of Jaipur (currently) Kolila (Behror, Alwar) village. His father Rajju ji was a camel rearer. Being from a cattle rearing family, he is aware of the pain and suffering of cattle rearers.
 
He graduated from Commerce College, Jaipur and obtained M.Com degree in first class from Rajasthan University. In 1993, he started his career as a probationary officer in Oriental Bank of Commerce. After that he joined Axis Bank. He kept getting promotions continuously and he became the Vice President of Axis Bank in Ahmedabad. He was first made the circle head of Madhya Pradesh and then Gujarat and then promoted as Senior Vice President. In 2017, he was made the regional head of Eastern India, the Eastern India region included 14 states. He was also promoted as Executive Vice President (EVP).
 
In May 2023, he resigned from the post of regional head and left his job worth lakhs and took up social service. In public life, he also contested the Bali Assembly and Pali Lok Sabha elections and stood third.
 
Lalji took the initiative to bring change in the lives of people. To save history and culture, he did the “Raika Bagh Movement” and succeeded in changing the name of the railway station from “Raika Ka” to “Raika”. Raika is the name of an ancient society which has its own history and culture, the Railways distorted this name and kept it as “Raika”.
 
On 1 May 24, five thousand people together formed the “Rashtriya Pashupalak Sangh” in Pali and unanimously elected Lalji Raika as the President. After this, Shahabad Movement, Bikaner Movement, Ujjain Movement, Hariyali School Bachao Movement were successfully run under the banner of Rashtriya Pashupalak Sangh and the demands of the cattle breeders were accepted by the government.
 
Lalji Raika formed “Raika Education Charitable Trust (RECT)” twenty years ago for education under which the education revolution started in the society. Career guidance seminars were organized at various places in Gujarat and a coaching center was started in Ahmedabad through which thousands of youth got selected in government jobs. Raika built a hostel in Udaipur and currently a girls hostel is also under construction. Lalji Raika is also a writer and poet.
 
He traveled to about 35 countries. He received training from IIM institutes located in Ahmedabad and Kolkata of the country and also received training at the international level from Harvard and Berkeley University. He has decided to dedicate his higher education and experience to the society, state and country.
